Introduction to the Centre :

In the era of rapid industrialization particularly in the engineering field, requirement of specialized tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, modules, gauges and other precision components are indispensable. Simultaneously demand for high quality tool makers are also growing rapidly. Hence to cater to both these needs in industries, Central Tool Room & Training Centre (CTTC) has set up in Bhubaneswar by Government of India collaboration and Government of Denmark. CTTC is competitively positioned to provide solutions required for varieties of specialised high precision quality tools, job work and import substitutions. This center is also engaged to provide well trained TOOL & DIE MAKERS & Diploma in CHNM and other related fields through regular long-term as well as short term training courses.

Aims&Objectives :

     ·     CTTC’s mission is to provide technological support to industry in manufacturing quality tools.

  ·     This centre endeavors to import the highest degree of skill through job-oriented training to young boys and girls, covering all aspects in tooling and co-related activities, thereby creating a qualitative manpower base to support the rapidly growing industrial sector in our country.

Introduction of the course :

CERTIFICATE COURSE IN MASTER OF CAD/CAM

The course is designed to train degree engineers to become CAD/CAM experts and able to work in modern engineering industries in general and CNC machines shops in particular. It is usually felt that the fresh degree holders are not confident of operating and programming the CNC machines Tools and lack confidence in handling day-to-day shop floor problems. During the course these degree holders will be put to vigorous practice on CNC and CAD/CAM areas .In between they will be given theoretical inputs in CNC Programming  & Operation. After completion of the course these fresh degree holders should be confident enough to programme & operate the CNC machines ,solve day-to-day problems and lead the team of machines & programmers & Designers.
The companies who have recently recruited fresh degree holders can therefore sponsor these engineers and it is expected that they will be ready after this course to take over as programmers .The course is also open for unemployed engineers who wish to make their career in CAD/CAM area. Final year students awaiting their results can also apply and for them the pre-final year marks will be considered for admission.

Eligibility :

The fresh Degree/Diploma in Mechanical/Production/Automobile engineering or equivalent are eligible for taking admission. The company sponsored candidates will be preferred Unemployed/Fresh Degree holders and those final year students awaiting results can apply.

Duration :

4 months 8 hours a day, a days a week in Morning & Evening Shifts.
